"Mathilda" the new robot at ALEGNA

Weighing 4 tonnes, measuring almost 3 m in height, having 7 axes and working with the utmost precision and efficiency, ‘Mathilda’ mills a variety of moulds for wooden bathtubs and furniture. Complex, special and/or conventional forms are a piece of cake for the robot. It manufactures even the most unconventional moulds that it is faced with, both quickly and with great precision. “The robot complements our team. All products still have to be 100% handmade,” explains Thomas Löpfe, ALEGNA’s owner. “No robot would be able to manufacture our products,” he continues. “We will always have to rely on experts!”
